Set it on the service
Open the service under Booking Page → Services and choose:
- Free — nothing to pay
- Pay online — full price at booking
- Pay in person — nothing collected online
- Deposit required — a set amount at booking, the rest in person
Why deposits help
A deposit is the most effective way to reduce no-shows. State clearly in your cancellation policy whether it is refundable.
What customers see
The amount due now and the amount due at the appointment are both shown before they confirm, and repeated in their confirmation.
Requirement
Online payment and deposits need a connected Stripe account.
